With events themed on foraging, fungi, and seasonal craft, there’s something for all ages and interests to enjoy—and a chance to reconnect with the landscapes and stories of West Cornwall.
For those new to what we do, The Gardeners’ House is a recently restored community building in Morrab Gardens. It is dedicated to celebrating the unique stories of West Cornwall, offering a space where the local community can connect both with nature and one another.
We are home to:
- A living archive preserving documents, art, books and ephemera that reflect Cornwall’s natural history and the people who have cared for its land.
- Wellbeing, arts and green projects—workshops, walks, sensory gardens—designed to nurture both people and place.
- New community spaces where local voices, past and present, are invited in – to share, learn, explore and to enjoy the beauty of Penzance and the wider landscape of West Cornwall

| Clothing Repair with Grace and Sustainable Penzance | November 22, 1.30 pm–3.30 pm | Learn beginner‑friendly repair skills or bring items for mending. Donations encouraged. |
| Foraged Autumn Colours | November 28, 1.30 pm–4.30 pm | Discover natural dyes from local plants and create your own autumn colour swatches. £15–£19. |
Autumn is a time of change, reflection and coming together. Our events are designed to help you enjoy the season—whether by spending time outdoors noticing the beauty of nature, or by joining creative workshops that use natural materials and stories from our archive. Each activity is about connecting past and present, while bringing people together in a friendly and welcoming space.

- We offer three different pricing options – a We Support You (lower priced option to keep our events affordable), a Standard Price ticket (priced to help us cover the costs of the event) or You Support Us (where the extra funds help to support the running of our charity)
