As we continue to grow our team and plan for opening in June, we are pleased to be recruiting for a business administrator apprentice. This will be a 21-month apprenticeship running from June 2025 until February 2027.

Your enthusiasm and passion for the environment, heritage and community impact is much more important to us than your formal qualifications and formal work experience.

Your role will involve working with diverse groups of visitors, partners, organisations, and colleagues to support the essential welcoming environment and daily running of the Gardeners’ House site.

You will be instrumental in learning how to organise meetings, workshops, and events, update records, collate information for reports, support marketing activities, and welcome people in the reception area of the building.

The main aims of the role will be:

  • To deliver excellent customer service and provide a point of contact to visitors, the community, organisations and partners.

  • To provide administration support for room bookings, diarised events and the delivery of the activities.

  • To work closely with the Gardeners’ House delivery team to ensure that people who visit the site get the best possible experience.

  • To support the Collections Manager for one day each week to deliver a highly organised archive service

This role is full time, but the applicant will be expected to complete a Level 3 Business Administrator apprenticeship, which includes one day a week for college off-the-job training.

Closing date: 30 April 2025

Interviews: week commencing 12 May 2025

Start date: 2 June 2025
