Repair Workshop
February 21 10:30 am - 12:30 pm
Free – £3.00

Our clothes hold stories, wether that be a stubborn stain, an unlucky tear, or a ladder in a favourite piece of knitwear. Come and join us for a morning of learning (or sharing!) skills in how to mend our treasured items, adding valuable time to their useful life and beautifully stitched additions.
We will have designated mending stations; one for darning knitted garments (e.g; holes in jumpers or socks), one for mending rips or tears in woven garments (e.g; jeans or jackets) and one for creative visible mending through stitch and embroidery (e.g; small holes or stains on a bag or a top). You will have to option to register for a free ticket or a £3 ticket. All materials (and coffee/tea!) provided.
We’ll also have a secondhand book sale of books relating to stitching and knitting!
We will gather for these repair drop-ins to celebrate our unique Cornish spirit of resilience on the third Saturday of every other month. This is an event run in partnership with Sustainable Penzance.
